In Loving Memory of Kenneth Francis Rueve:
A Devoted Family Man and Proud Veteran
Kenneth Francis Rueve, 84, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024 after a lengthy battle with lingering illnesses. He was born October 26, 1939 in Cincinnati Ohio. Mr. Rueve was a graduate of Roger Bacon HS in Cincinnati in 1957 and he served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962. Mr. Rueve spent the vast majority of his career working for a number of different trucking and logistics companies. He retired in 2002 and moved from Cincinnati to Texas to spend more time with his family and grandchildren.
Mr. Rueve is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Hansen) Rueve; his daughter Michelle (Rueve) Janszen and her husband Timothy Janszen, his grandsons Andrew Janszen, Mitchell Janszen and his wife Jill, his grand daughter Abigail Janszen, and his great grandson Malcolm Janszen. He is also survived by his sisters Virginia Rueve, Jeanette Rueve, Katherine Able and her husband Ronald, Larry Rueve and his wife Donna and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Rueve, his sister Loretta Rueve, Mary Joyce Hoffman and her husband Thomas, Patricia Bayer and her husband Lawrence (Bing) and his brother Richard Rueve.
Despite spending his retirement years in Texas, Mr. Rueve loved all things Cincinnati. He watched or listened to every Cincinnati Reds game that he could. Skyline Chili was his favorite meal. He loved to bowl, golf and watch his grandchildren compete and perform in various activities. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Ken’s memory to your favorite veteran related charity.
